Down river from Niagara Falls is a unique log cabin­like hotel. One of the first things you notice about it is the red and yellow tubes jutting out from the sides. Those tubes are water slides. Yes, like in amusement parks. Great Wolf Lodge is a chain hotel that features an indoor waterpark, as well as an outdoor pool, mini­golf course, arcade and spa. The resort is camping themed. The main lobby has displays of animatronic forest animals and talking trees. There are several bedroom themes, some with a special “mini room” shaped as a bear cave or camping tent for the kids. At around 8:00 pm, the animals in the lobby put on a “bedtime story show”. The Niagara Falls, Ontario location is the only Great Wolf Lodge in Canada.The main attraction is the water park. There’s a wave pool, lazy river, splash works, obstacle course, hot tub, and of course water slides. One of the most popular slides is a log flume style slide called “Niagara Rapids Run.”
